After all the effort in Take 1 I felt kind of lost. Then a kind soul on a hamster forum gave this words of advice : why not try a ceramic disk ? So off I went to the kitchen, and after all the desparate searching high and low, the closet apparatus I could get hold of is this. A simple stainless steel food disk. Well, it fits onto the level 2 of the cage not so bad. And hammy seems to take it up with no complaint :)
