Hamster Body Language

This is just a quick guide so that you can understand a hamsters body language, so that it helps you to see what your hamster is feeling. Also this should be able to help you establish whether or not your hamster is ill.

Grooming

All hamsters groom themselves, it is their way of keeping their coat clean and stops them from smelling. Your hamster may just lick their coat at the back and front, but they may also lick their paws and rub their paws over their face and behind their ears. This is because they can't just lick their face!

Gnawing

You should provide your hamster with something to gnaw on to keep their teeth short, as hamsters teeth keep on growing, so they must gnaw on things to keep them short. try a wooden cude or something, but a mineral stone works best.
