*About that Day*

August 2nd, 2002 "Awwwwwwwwhhhhhhh!!!!" I had just woken up from a yawn when I just remembred, TODAY'S GRANDPARENTS' 60TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!! I quickly got off the sofa and put on my day clothes. Mom drove my cousins and me to church where there was only Andy, our trusty and loyal friend =). We got to work in an instant. We started cutting up ribbons and strings to hang the balloons from, and we cut up beautiful paper for the flowers. We did all kinds of decorative stuff.. etc. *POP!* "WhOa! What was that??!!" Screamed my brother Jason, he ducked his head while a popped balloon fell onto his head. "Aw man!....Now I have to go pump up another one.. ARGH..." We all laughed. I soon turned around and went right back to work while everyone else was also working VERY hard... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Soon, before we knew it, it was 4:00PM, and that was time to take our family pictures. Everyone was all dressed up, and everyone looked beautiful. Everything was set to go. So we got in the car and drove back to church once again. We re-arranged the seats and took our places for the pictures. I was nervous. I HAD TO LOOK GOOD FOR THE PICTURES!!! I swept my hair back and made sure I didnt smudge any of my make-up. Hehe =P. "Cheeeeeeeeeeeeese!" The photographer said. We all smiled. Just an instant when he flashed that camera, I thought to myself, "OH NO! WHAT IF I BLINKED???!!!" But the I slapped myself and told me, "You're just too paranoid. Anyway, Grandpa and Grandma are going to love you just the same even though your pictures didn't turn out well!" So I held back my fears of turning ugly and went on for the rest of that picture period. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now the time was 6:00PM. The time of the party. The time of entertainment. The time where we would celebrate once and for all the day our WHOOOLE family was waiting for- our mother's and father's/ grandmother's and grandfather's 60TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!! Everyone was here by the time we knew it. The party has begun! We were listening to Grandpa's 10 hour speech.. but FINALLY.. IT WAS DINNER TIME! Haha! =D (Please don't kill me Grandpa! =p) After dinner, (where everyone complemented on the food,) we started performing. My cousins Karen and Katy performed a quad on the piano. It was very good! My other cousin Jennifer showed us how she can shake her hips on the hoola!!! She also performed very well. After Jennifer was my OTHER cousin Rita, and she used my flute to perform 2 songs, but I think I forgot what they were called. Following HER was.. MEEE! I performed a Sonatina on the piano while my OOOTTTHHHEEERRR cousin Fay was modeling my aunties' clothes. Vivian, my OTHER (hehe =p i have WAY too many cousins,) was introducing to us the clothes. That was all the performances there were. By the way, my performance was EWWW. I hated it. I messed up. Last but not least, it was kareoke time! Vivian and Wilson were singing their guts out.. but not as intense as... GRANDPA!!! He was singing all through the night becuase-... well-... the night was young! LOL When the guests left... we started to clean up- but even though I HATED cleaning up-.. I think I had the best of time! I'm sorry if I didn't explain this in much great detail, because if I did, then it would go on forever.. so EXCUSE MOI! =D
