Note: In Japan, every one is addressed last name first. Also, little formal address signs are used at the end of a person's name depending on their status just, like how in English we use MR. or MRS..

San= Anyone, but mostly for girls (replaces MRS. and MS.)
Kun= Mr.
Chan= Used for Children or for some one younger than you or acts childish. Also for family members.
Sama= Used for a master or mistress.

Note: Instead of calling family members by their name, Japanese use a title as well. Also, most of the words with an "O" in front of the word drops that sound for slang terms. Like jichan instead of Ojiichan

Okasan= Mother
Otosan= Father
Oniichan= Big Brother
Oneechan= Big Sister
Itotochan= Little Brother
Imotochan= Little Sister
Ojiichan= Gandfather
